What to do if your startup is about fail « The... →
I had to deal with 1, 2, 3, 9, and 11 at the first company I started. We survived the bust, but it was the most difficult period of my life. This time around I’ve been much more careful and conservative. That doesn’t mean we’re immune, and no one knows what the world’s gonna look like in 12 months, but I think we’re in better shape. Some good tips here from Jason.

daryn: “Given another 2-3 years, I’m sure we would have worked up the nerve to go talk to him, but before that could happen Sean’s iPhone buzzed with a “tweet” from Shaq. I feel twitterers around me, r there any twitterers in 5 n diner wit me, say somethin “Hey” Sean said, with a slight bit of confidence. Economists Agree
rodmitch: jeffmiller: President Obama pushed for his stimulus package by claiming, rather questionably, that ”economists from across the political spectrum agree” that such a stimulus package was necessary.  Hopefully, Obama will similarly push for other policies that reflect the broad consensus of economists.  Here are some uncontroversial economic principles, along with the percentage of...

(Link) ex 1 Doc: We need to operate on your colon lol, you have cancer. ex 2 Jesus: Take this all of you and eat it, it is my body, lol. ex 3 Me: Will you marry me? Lol.

Page load times affect traffic and revenue →
clint: The page with 10 results took .4 seconds to generate. The page with 30 results took .9 seconds. Half a second delay caused a 20% drop in traffic. Half a second delay killed user satisfaction. This conclusion may be surprising — people notice a half second delay? — but we had a similar experience at Amazon.com. In A/B tests, we tried delaying the page in increments of 100 milliseconds...
