Futurama's Planet Express located in New New York
chrrrharrr: The latest Futurama straight-to-dvd release, Bender’s Game, zooms in on the location of Planet Express, the series’ main location. In a fictional world, in a fictional future, on a fictional eastern seaboard, in a fictional city (New New York) with a weird outline and new Hudson River crossings, Central Park remains the same. As seen in the third frame, Planet Express is on the...

– peHUB » peHUB First Read (via bijan) This is so weird. Foley Hoag was the first coporate law firm I ever dealt with. (They represented The Daily Jolt during our financing round and a few other things.) I remember them being very knowledgable, very stodgy, and very expensive. It seems totally...

Photojojo Mission Murals Safari
bhaggs: You can catch a few glimpses of my toolish self strolling around. It was a fun time, albeit a bit rainy that day though. This weekend the Photojojo Safari heads to Treasure Island to document the urban ruins of the old Navy base. It’s true. Tomorrow’s SF Photojojo Safari will be rad. We’ll probably find abandoned treasure.

Typeface Selection
mattmcinerney: I have a few pet peeves. Sometimes I try to keep them to myself, but this is one that I feel needs to be aired. And maybe if I post it for everyone to see, I can prevent a future type crime. Even if I can just stop one person from using a terrible typeface, it’s worth a post. I’ll start with a quote: We believe there are not that many good typefaces. If I want to be really...

Connecticut Thanksgiving Whirlyball
amandalynferri: Dear Connecticut/anyone in New England/anyone who wants to come in from the city, The Friday after Thanksgiving I want to try and get a Whirlyball game together. Whirlyball is a mix of basketball, lacrosse, and bumper cars.  These cars can go a hundred smiles per hour. Besides Karaoke this is my favorite sport.  The New England Whirleyball court is located in South Windsor...
